Bio: Paxton is a serial business manager. Prior to founding Studio Hermitage, he was the General Manager at Funcom for 5 years, and before that, he was a partner and business director at the Chatham Group running a video game consulting division for 6 years. Before his game development experience, Paxton ran the advertising and marketing firm G&W for 10+ years and owned a few smaller companies including Strafe Gaming Lounge and Jump & Laugh. Prior to that, he was a Producer at Bristol-Myers Squibb and a Producer at a political consulting firm.
Fun Fact: In 2007 Paxton, pulled two injured people out of a burning car and used the knowledge he learned in the video game America’s Army to administer life-saving techniques to save them both. News Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLzTMU79UH8;
Favorite Game: XCOM: Enemy Unknown (2012) but, X-COM: UFO Defense (1994) will always have a special place in his heart.

Studio Hermitage is a North Carolina-based transmedia company working on original Intellectual Property called "Our Brilliant Ruin" for production across a number of formats including video games and print. Under the leadership of game development veterans Paxton Galvanek (CEO), Justin Achilli (CCO) and Andy Foltz (Studio Art Director), Studio Hermitage aims to build a lasting creative game company, creating new IPs for a wide range of platforms and formats. The founding trio has a combined experience from the game/creative industry of over 70+ years.
For those wondering, a Hermitage is a secluded, peaceful getaway and with this studio, we hope to create a unique environment giving creative professionals the opportunity to make something truly groundbreaking. At Studio Hermitage, our mission is to tell engaging stories and give players the tools to tell their own. Our studio wants every Hermit to find their own hermitage, their own safe and comfortable space where they can exercise creative freedom and share their voice to contribute their unique perspective to the greater storytelling whole.
